Ms. Sunita Thawani brings with her over 25 years of distinguished legal experience, having worked extensively with the Tata Group. She began her career as a lawyer at the Supreme Court of India and, after a 12-year career break, re-entered the workforce by joining Tata Steel. There, she held several leadership roles and went on to establish the legal department at Jamshedpur Utilities and Companies Ltd (Jusco), a 100% Tata Steel subsidiary, where she served as DGM (Legal) for a decade.

Her professional journey reflects resilience, ambition, and impact—qualities that led her to be honored with the Woman of the Year National Award in 2017. Recently, she has been appointed as an Independent Director on the board of Earthhood Services Limited, a global leader in carbon offset verification and sustainability.
